The association’s model stands for sustainable, transparent and comprehensive water management by the public sector. Our work is geared exclusively to benefit the common good. We are there to serve the people’s interests and we operate purely to break even, meaning that we do not make a profit. All our income from membership fees goes straight back into the services we provide for the community.

As a self-governing municipal body, we have strong regional roots and develop solutions that are oriented towards the local conditions and people.
In line with this holistic idea, our network includes close links with representatives of the municipal umbrella organisations of the state water management administration and the official nature conservation authorities.

We are governed by democratically elected bodies and monitored by supervisory authorities.
